Arrows game

Game 3 of 12 · about 3 min

Five arrows appear. The colour tells you which one to answer. Blue or grey means the middle arrow, red means the outer ones. The rule changes without warning.

Learning Attention Adaptivity

Unofficial practice. Not the real Pymetrics game and not connected to Pymetrics, Harver or any employer. Untimed, unlimited retries, nothing saved and nothing sent anywhere.

How it works

  1. Blue or grey arrows: answer the direction of the middle arrow.
  2. Red arrows: answer the direction of the outer arrows.
  3. Respond with the left and right arrow keys, or the buttons below.
  4. The rule switches partway through and you are not told when.

What this game reads

It reads how quickly you notice the rule has changed and stop applying the old one. Raw speed matters far less than how many trials you waste after a switch.

About this game

Answered straight, including the parts people would rather hear differently.

Only in part. Answering fast while applying the wrong rule scores worse than answering a little slower and correctly.
Some are expected. Nobody adapts instantly, and a run with zero adjustment cost would look stranger than one with a few. What is read is how long the adjustment takes.
