A small site that scores things properly
No account, no email capture, no paywall. That is the whole promise, and it is not a launch offer.
OpenThinkr is an independent project, not a company. It exists because most free online tests are a form dressed up as an assessment. You answer twenty questions, then you hit a wall asking for your email, and the result you finally get is vague enough to describe anyone.
This site does the opposite. Every test is free to take, gives you a real result, and asks for nothing in return.
How the tests are built
Each test says how it was scored and what it was scored against. Where a public, validated instrument exists, that is what gets used. Personality tests here are built on the public-domain IPIP item pool rather than a trademarked framework.
Where a test is practice for something else, it says so plainly. The Pymetrics practice test is exactly that: practice. It is not affiliated with Pymetrics or Harver, and it is not the real assessment. It exists so the format is not brand new to you on the day it counts.
What happens to your answers
- There is no account, so there is nothing to attach your answers to.
- Your answers are used to score your result and nothing else.
- No email step, at any point, including to see your result.
The one thing stored in your browser is whether you prefer light or dark mode.
How this pays for itself
Eventually, display ads. Not yet. The layout already reserves the space so that switching them on later does not mean redesigning the site around them, but they stay empty until there is enough traffic for it to be worth anything.
What will not happen: putting results behind a payment, selling your answers, or requiring an email to see a score you already earned.
Where it is going
Six categories are planned: IQ and brain, personality, career and jobs, languages, brain games, and knowledge and trivia. Career and jobs is live. The rest open as they are built, and a category only opens once it holds three real tests, because one lonely test is not a category.
It is built slowly and on purpose. Fewer tests that are honest about their limits beats a big library of quizzes that mean nothing.
