Privacy

There is almost nothing to tell you

No account, no email step, no analytics, no advertising scripts. This page exists to say what that means concretely rather than to sound reassuring.

What this site does not do

The one thing stored in your browser

A single entry in your browser's local storage, named ot-theme, holding either light or dark. It remembers which theme you picked so the site does not flash the wrong one on your next visit.

It never leaves your device, it is not a cookie, and it identifies nothing about you. Clearing your browser storage removes it and the site works exactly as before.

What the server sees

This site is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web server, it keeps standard access logs: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent string. That happens for every website you visit and it is what makes serving a page possible at all.

Those logs exist for security and for diagnosing faults. They are not analysed to build a profile of you, and they are not combined with anything else, because there is nothing else to combine them with.

Fonts are loaded from Google

The site uses two typefaces, Space Grotesk and Inter, served from Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. This is disclosed here because it is the only third party involved in loading a page.

Nothing else on the page reaches a third party.

Advertising, later

The layout reserves empty space for display advertising, which is how the site is intended to pay for itself eventually. No advertising code runs today, and the reserved slots are empty containers with no scripts in them.

When advertising is switched on, this page will be updated before it goes live, along with whatever consent mechanism is required. It will not appear quietly.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data held about you, and to complain to a supervisory authority. In practice there is no account, no stored answers and no profile here, so for almost every request the honest answer is that nothing is held.

If you want to ask anyway, or want your entries removed from the server access logs, write to hello@openthinkr.com.

Children

The tests here are open to anyone and collect nothing, so there is no age gate. Since no personal data is collected, none is knowingly collected from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date below changes with it. The version that applies to you is the one published when you visit.
